The UCB Sports Therapy Event team covers a number of events, quite literally the length and breadth of the United Kingdom. From Race to the Tower to Ironman UK. Whether it is working alongside professional athletes or treating weekend warriors, these sports therapy students are always in high demand at each event. Sports clubs, athletic teams and sports injury clinics are increasingly turning to therapy to help sports men and women train and compete safely, rehabilitate injured athletes and deal with the physical and emotional trauma of injury.
The students are taught on specialist Sports Therapy courses, which integrate academic learning and the development of practical sports therapy skills to an advanced level.
Following a hard day in the saddle, you’ll be greeted by a friendly face to support your recovery, tend to your injuries or prepare you for the next day of the challenge. The students are there to provide post event management of any acute injuries, sports massage, soft tissue therapy and group foam rolling sessions as well as pre event strapping and taping for common cycling related pathologies.
UCB Sports Injury and massage clinics run at their Richmond House campus in Birmingham city centre, offers specialist treatments and services at affordable prices. UCB sports therapy undergraduates get first-hand experience under strict supervision from qualified therapists.
